Start with the concern, not a conclusion
You do not need to identify a device before asking for help. Tell us which space concerns you, what prompted the request, and who can authorize access. An unfamiliar object or an unusual electronic observation does not by itself establish that surveillance is taking place.
Keep the first message short: your city, the type of inspection, and a safe contact method are enough to start. If you are concerned about the phone or computer you are using, contact us from another trusted device.
Agree on what will be inspected
A residential sweep, a boardroom inspection, and a vehicle tracker search involve different access and inspection priorities. Before work begins, discuss the rooms, areas, or devices included; access arrangements; scheduling; pricing; and the deliverables you need.
Ask what is outside the agreed scope. Restricted rooms, inaccessible areas, disassembly, digital forensics, and additional devices may require separate arrangements. An inspection should not be presented as broader than the work that was authorized.
Understand the inspection approach
Electronic inspection and a physical search are considered together. The approach depends on the space, accessible areas, and concerns discussed. Observations need to be interpreted in context, including legitimate equipment already present.
The inspection is an assessment at a particular time. Concealment, access, and the operating state of a device can limit what can be established. Ask for those limits to be explained alongside the findings.
Leave with findings you can understand
Discuss the scope completed, the observations made, any unresolved questions, and the next steps that are appropriate to those findings. If you need a written report, agree on that deliverable before the appointment so its purpose and intended audience are clear.
A report should distinguish an observation from a confirmed finding. “Nothing found in the inspected areas” is different from a guarantee that no surveillance device exists. No sweep can honestly guarantee detection of every possible device.
